The generous hands have been leaving their finger prints in all life facets since the Pre-
independence era in Bahrain. Comprehensive development has touched on all fields: education,
housing, infra-structure, economy, state of the law's institutions and industry.

The government's indefatigable efforts have never stopped to build the country and
uphold its image abroad through a clever and well-thought of diplomacy. As a result, Bahrain
now has shaken hands with all countries yearning for peace and security. It has become an
active member of the Arab League and the Gulf Countries Council.

During all this period, Bahrain has never contended itself with what existed but over
nearly four decades, the Bahraini mindset has accustomed itself to carrying on with
progress so as to reach high level of development.

Signs of such progress were seen everywhere including the investment and economic
sectors and tourism industry. Human rights and democracy also reigned in the kingdom
promoting personal freedoms and asserting that investing in human beings is a winning
bet.

During all this period, the hands of Prime Minister Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa have
never abandoned Bahrain's progress and development steering wheel to take Bahrain up to
high levels of advancement and the results were stupendous. They will always testify to
the great achievements of a great man, a skillful captain, a talented leader and laureate of
top medals whose name is Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa.
