Paradox of the Actor Book launched

Manama, Sept. 6 (BNA): The 12th Al Sawari Festival unveiled the Arabic edition of the “Paradox of the Actor” book, translated by Nora Amin, authored by Denis Diderot at the Cultural Hall in Manama.
Translated in Arabic ( Egyptian dialect) and produced by a Bahraini company, the book will be available for a broad-range of Arab readers, and it will represent a platform for questions on acting in the Arab world as well as the position of the philosophy science and aesthetics from our point of view as actors, and also from our perspectives as human beings.

Through this book we can see acting as an existential reality, in which the actor appears to be a mutant being, and as being able to exist, vanishing, fear and fervor. The actor in this book is a model of human strength and celebration of life.
Nora hailed the decision of the organisers of the festival to launch the book during the event, stating that the Paradox of the Actor theory is one of the most important theatrical theories, while Diderot is the first philosopher to speak about acting from aesthetics point of view.”
President of Al Sawari Theatre and Director of the Festival Khalid Al Ruwaie said that the theatre is striving towards providing meaningful contents to the Arab theatrical library.
