Premier highlights shared responsibility to maintain security


Manama, Sep. 2 (BNA): HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, today at the Gudaibiya Palace, received heads of Hussaini Matams and members of the General Authority of Husseini Processions led by head of Madan Matam, Ibrahim Mansour Al Mansour. 

HRH the Premier stressed the importance of enhancing values of communication and coexistence enjoyed by the Bahraini society despite attempts to sow division, highlighting the loyalty of Bahraini people to their country and leadership during the difficult situations seen by the country. He affirmed support for initiatives aimed at preserving the unity and progress of the homeland.

HRH the Premier noted the sincere national role of the Bahraini people, saying the strength of the Bahraini society lies in its awareness and cohesion, which made of the Kingdom of Bahrain a unique model of coexistence based on friendship and respect. He said maintaining the homeland security and stability is a shared responsibility between the government and the people.

HRH the Premier praised the efforts of heads of Hussaini Matams to revive religious rituals in cooperation with the government agencies, underlining the government's support for Ashura events.

He attached great significance to preserving the one-family spirit, national unity, rejecting calls for division and making more efforts to continue the march of progress.


On behalf of the audience, Ghazi Abdulmuhsin, in his speech, expressed thanks for HRH the Premier’s keen interest in Ashura anniversary, following in Al Khalifa’s footsteps who have provided all forms of support for the success of the Hussaini processions, which reflects values of tolerance and coexistence among the Bahraini community. 

He commended HRH the Premier’s calls for unifying ranks and standing by the royal leadership to maintain the national unity.
