LONDON, April 12 (BNA) -- Kuwait's State Minister for Foreign Affairs Sheikh Muhammad Al-Sabah left here last night heading for Washington as part of a tour he has been making of the five permanent member nations of the Security Council.
While here on a two-day visit, Sheikh Muhammad, who is also Acting Minister of Planning and Finance, met with British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw.
The two officials asserted the importance of establishing stability in Iraq and augmenting the role of the UN there after the war comes to an end. Sheikh Muhammad, in a press conference he held jointly wit Straw yesterday, said Kuwait looked forward to working actively with the people of Iraq as they go through difficult times.
