Athens, April 12 (BNA) -- moderate earthquake shook south-central Greece on Saturday, but there were no reports of damageor injuries.
The quake, with a preliminary magnitude of 5.0, occurred at 2355 GMT Friday.
The epicenter of the quake was 100 kilometers southwest of Athens and had aland depth of 80 kilometers, the Athens Geodynamic Institute said.
An earthquake of a magnitude between 2.5 and 3 is the smallest generally felt by people. A quake of magnitude 4 to 5 can cause moderate damage in populated areas.
