GCC Leaders Welcome The Bid of Jordan and Morocco to Join the GCC

Riyadh–May10(BNA) Jordan and Morocco have submitted bids to join the Gulf Cooperative Council.
The leaders of the six Gulf Cooperation Council countries welcomed Jordan's request to join the GCC and instructed completion of necessary measures in coordination with the Jordanian foreign minister. The GCC leaders welcomed a similar request by Morocco, and assigned their foreign ministers to coordinate with the Moroccan foreign minister for necessary measures to be completed. They hailed both requests as reflecting solidarity between the peoples of the six GCC countries on one side, and Jordan and Morocco on the other as well as common destiny.
