BICI report: No involvement of GCC Shield units in human rights violations

Manama, Nov 23 (BNA) In its historic report published today, the Bahrain Independent Commission of Inquiry found that the government of Bahrain had made clear to the commission that it had additional information which indicates Iran’s interference in the Kingdom of Bahrain’s internal affairs and that for security and secrecy purposes it did not want to reveal to the commission.

The report also indicated that it did not find any evidence related to the involvement of the GCC Shield units that was in Bahrain starting March 14, 2011 in any human rights violations.
