Deputy King Visits Muharraq Governorate and the British Embassy

Manama- Dec4 (BNA) Deputy King His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, the Crown Prince, today appealed to Muharraq residents to stick to their values and traditions and deep-rooted history. "We want the solution, rather than the problem, to come from Muharraq ", he said as he paid a surprise visit to the headquarters of Muharraq Governorate.
Muharraq Governor Salman Isa bin Hindi and Muharraq dignitaries attended. He called on all parties to commit to traditions and values which reflect the true mettle of Bahraini people, its heritage, present and all the noble values to be fostered in children and grandchildren. He stressed the need to promote national interests and stave off any infiltrators or predators preying on Bahrain's security and stability. He appealed to all Bahrainis to be patient and calm and respect religious rituals for Bahrain to preserve its bright image. He also appealed to all citizens to stand united under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, who is keen on promoting Bahrain as a model to emulate for tolerance, consensus and diversity. "Good people make history. History will always remember those who do good", he said. HRH Prince Salman said that his visit to Muharraq stemmed from his keenness to get reassured about all people and make sure Bahrain embraces them all. "I heard about the regrettable incidents which happened in Muharraq over the past two days and which are alien to Muharraq and the whole Bahrain", he said, stressing the need to overcome any detrimental aftermath and reaffirm commitment to our national ethics. He stressed the importance of committing to security and stability for the country to progress and thrive. He thanked Interior Minister Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa and all the ministry personnel for their dedication to achieve security and protect religious events, lauding their efforts to stave off dangers and protect Bahrain. He stressed the hope that religious events would remain occasions for unity and solidarity between citizens. He urged all citizens to stand united so as to achieve the noble goals for the Kingdom and address any problem or mistake for Bahrain to remain the home that embraces all people. The Deputy King then head to the British Embassy, accompanied by Interior Minister Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa, and was welcomed by British Ambassador Iain Lindsay. He condemned the aggression, describing it as alien to Bahrain and its history. He lauded historic relations bonding the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom. The British diplomat hailed HRH Prince Salman's visit to the embassy, which reflects his keenness on strong bilateral relations. Head of Crown Prince's Court Shaikh Khalifa bin Daij Al-Khalifa attended.
