Cairo, Jan. 6. (BNA) – Egypt decided to close the Rafah crossing with Gaza tomorrow Saturday, marking Christmas celebrations, a local official announced.
"The crossing was closed today, Friday, because of the weekend, and will be closed tomorrow because of Christmas holiday, but will resume normal work as of Sunday according to the mechanism in place since May 28," he added.
According to official Egyptian statistics, over 210000 passengers crossed the borders to and from Gaza since May 28, 2011.
