Autumn Fair 2012 begins |

Manama, Jan. 25 (BNA) -- Bahrain's 23rd Autumn Fair began to a packed Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre this morning. Dubbed the largest and most popular consumer products exhibition, the first day of the nine day fair saw huge visitor turnoutand an equally buoyant sales.
Held under patronage of the Minister for Commerce and Industry Dr Hassan A Fakhro this Autumn Fair will go on till February 2. The 2012 edition has 700 exhibitors spread over three halls and 14,300 square metre display area.
The fair has all products one would look for to decorating a home and ladies and kids cosmetics and dresses including Nana May's Magic Hands. Located in stand B-40, exhibitors at the stall claimed to have a solution that could wash away the dead skin from a person's body.
They told the Bahrain News Agency that the product they displayed came from Australia. Asked about the frequency for usage, they added that while the hands and feet could be washed daily the face and the rest of the body should only be washed once in two to three days.
It can get rid of dead skin, acne and black heads.
The exhibition hall and its surrounding areas were turned into a literal festival ground, found the agency. In addition to hosts Bahrain, countries participating include China, Malaysia, India, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Turkey and Senegal.
The best way to show at the Autumn Fair is to treat it is a bargain basement," said visitors to the expo. "the fair is an important sourcing venue for local companies and wholesale agreement and new partnerships will be established during the course of the show, said Arabian Exhibition Management Project Chief, Mohammed Ebrahim.
The show timings are from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm and from 4.00 pm to 10.00 pm on January 26, 28 and 31 in addition to the February 1 and 2. However, on January 27 the expo will open to visitors at 12.00 pm and close at 10.00 pm.
The ladies will have their time on January 29 and 30. Entry for adults is 700 fils and infants -- under five years of age -- can go in free, said a release.
Comparing the 2011 edition, with the 2012, Ebrahim said the floor area had contracted by 500 square metres.
