Dr. Al Ka’abi Pays Visit to Fawzi Nass Stable

Manama, Jan. 27. (BNA) – Within the National Strategy of Sustainable Agricultural Development aiming to take interest in animal health and enhance animal production, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Dr. Joma’a bin Ahmed Al Ka’abi, accompanied by Director-General of the Muharraq Governorate Shaikh Khalifa bin Isa Al Khalifa, today paid an inspection visit to the Fawzi Nass Stable at the Equestrian and Horse Racing Club.
During the visit, quarantine and veterinary control procedures, as well as the mechanisms of combating and eradicating animal diseases and preventing them from being transmitted abroad, were reviewed.


Dr. Ka’abi affirmed the crucial role played by veterinary quarantines in consolidating control procedures according to international requirements and standards to which the kingdom is strongly committed, asserting that the ministry will provide all needed support in order to upgrade the Animal Wealth Directorate’s supervisory role on imported animals, in line with its keenness to enhance animal primary care and veterinary control.

He also stressed that the private sector can play a major role, particularly in the field of animal rearing and production, praising its role in setting up veterinary quarantines that meet the needed requirements.
