Manama, Jan. 27. (BNA) – The Bahraini Journalists Association (BJA) today condemned in the strongest terms the detention of “Al Arabiya” photographer Shaikh Al Din Abdulla Ahmed by a group of people in Sitra.
In a statement issued today, BJA stressed the need to provide full protection for all journalists, media personalities and photographers and hold accountable all who commits criminal acts to prevent them from performing their duties.
BJA also called upon journalists, media professionals and photographers to be cautious while covering incidents in places known for their repeated violence or those in which clashes between protestors and security officers.
