Manama, Jan. 27. (BNA) – The Foreign Correspondents' Club today denounced the attack on and detention of “Al Arabiya” photographer Shaikh Al Din Abdulla Ahmed by a group of people while he was covering today’s incidents in Sitra.
In a statement issued today, the Board of the Foreign Correspondents’ Club called for the need to allow foreign correspondents to carry out their assigned duties according to the laws and norms regulating their profession in Bahrain and across the world.
It also stressed the need to provide full protection for foreign correspondents in order to ensure their safety, noting that all media outlets in Bahrain are keen to perform their media duties professionally.
