Parliamentary delegation participates in the final auditing meeting of the Islamic parliament

Manama, Jan. 29 (BNA) – The parliamentary delegation of Bahrain participates in the 14th session of the general committee (AlMajlis) for the union members councils of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. The session takes place in Palembang, in the Indonesian capital, and concludes today.

The Bahraini Shura member, and the head of the Financial Control Committee trusted with the revision of the unions accounts for the financial year 2011, spoke about the accounts of the secretariat. He underlined that the committee studied the report of the external auditor, alongside the final accounts, income statements, expenses and bank accounts until 31-12-2011. The committee also revised the supporting documents and concluded the following:
The audit was performed according to international audit standards, and according to the unions financial regulations. The internal financial procedures were correct and transparent, and that the internal control procedures were strict. All expenses are made according to the rules and regulations of accounting standards and didn’t surpass the budget set by the unions council, in its session held in Abu Dhabi in Jan. 2011.
The committee viewed the fixed assets, confirmed they were registered. It also viewed the accounts of Depreciation.
