Royal Bahrain Navy Brigadier General visited KHUH

Manama, Feb. 15 (BNA) -- The Brigadier General Abdulla Saeed Al Mansoori, Commander of Bahrain Royal Naval visited King Hamad University Hospital (KHUH) today, as he inspected the medical procedures, departments and wards of the hospital, as well as the modern equipment in the operation rooms, laboratory and clinics, in the presence of Colonel Hassan Al Muhanna and members of the executive team.

Brigadier General Al Mansouri inspected the Oxygen Unit where the Unit Head Dr. Adel Abdela'al briefed them with the aspects and benefits of the Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, noting that KHUH has provided six modern devices that allows patients to breathe 100 percent oxygen in a high-pressure environment, that helps treat decompression sickness, serious infections, bubbles of air in blood vessels, and wounds that won't heal as a result of diabetes or radiation injury. As well as the Elimination of toxic substances, Reduced effects of toxic substances, and reduction or elimination of tissue obstruction caused by gas bubbles. Pointing out that such treatment is the first of its kind in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Al Mansouri expressed his admiration to the facilities, equipment and the medical staff of KHUH, thanking the Hospital's commander Brigadier General Dr. Shaikh Salman bin Ateyatala and the executive team members for their great efforts in developing such healthcare services with the latest medical and scientific standards and staff in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
