Riyadh: Dec. 26 -- (BNA) Saudi daily newspapers issued this morning asserted the considerable significance of the recommendations concluded by the Sakhir Summit. The Saudi-based daily newspaper - "Okaz" - has welcomed the Summit's outcome and final communique's contexts, lauding the creation of a unified military command which coordinates, plans and commands allocated and additional land, naval and air forces under the umbrella of the Joint Peninsula Shield Forces.

The Saudi-based daily "Okaz" saw the invitation of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to usher into the phase of Gulf Union as a strategic move from the phase of cooperation to the phase of unity in order to surmount immediate challenges and to achieve a substantial portion of the aspirations of the GCC peoples and governments.

"Al-Yaum" daily newspaper hailed the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' honesty and historic responsibility and permanent aspirations and efforts exerted in order to achieve mammoth development for the sake of the welfare and wellbeing of the Saudi people and the GCC citizens.
"Al-Bilad" stated that the Saudi Crown Prince, HRH Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, has renewed the invitation extended by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques aimed to expedite the shift from the GCC cooperation phase to the phase of the Gulf Union.

"Al-Medina" daily newspaper described the speech of the Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud as a sincere expression and an answer for a question which has often been posed by GCC citizens regarding the GCC march over the past three decades: What the GCC organization has achieved over its three decades' march, will it live up to expectations and aspirations of GCC citizens?

The Saudi-bsed daily (Al-Medina) answered its own above question by saying that the answer is quite clear, transparent, intuitive and frank and lies in the commandeering personality of Abu Mut'ib (i.e. the father of HRH Prince Mut'ib that is the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques) who himself has modestly said that what we have achieved does not live up to our ambitions and aspirations.

"Al-Sharq" daily newspaper pointed out that the proposal of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques regarding moving from the phase of GCC cooperation to the phase of Gulf Union is the major headline of Manama Summit and is compatible with the feelings of GCC masses who believe in unity as the sole mechanism to safeguard the joint gains and to magnify the benefits of joint GCC work.
