FM: HM’s initiative to establish Arab Court for Human Rights promotes Human Rights practices

Manama: Feb. 27 – (BNA) -- Minister of Foreign Affairs Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, in presence of the Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa, hosted today a lunch banquet in honor of H.E. Arab League Secretary General Dr. Nabil Al Arabi and heads of delegation who participated in Manama Conference on the establishment of the Arab Court for Human Rights as it was stipulated in the initiative of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa calling for establishment of the Arab Court for Human Rights.



The Foreign Minister welcomed the participants, and reiterated the importance of their contribution in the conference and its recommendations.

His Excellency Shaikh Khalid stressed Bahrain’s keenness in addressing Human Rights issues and its application of the best practices in this regard.


The Foreign Affairs' Minister pointed out that the initiative of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to establish a special Arab Court for Human Rights reflects the concern to keep pace with modern international trends towards the promotion of Human Rights practices, as well as it enables Arab States to constructively address these issues and save them the interfere in their internal affairs.(IY)
