The Ministry has completed all the necessary preparations and practical training for health providers to cope with any suspicious or proven cases of the virus.

The Minister said that 117 specimens from suspicious cases received from public and private hospitals were tested in public health laboratories utilizing latest precision technologies recommended by the CDC and the World Health Organisation (WHO) and proven to be negative and free from any virus.

The Ministry of Health is keen on the safety of citizens and residents and ministry officials have been instructed to double the efforts especially during the Hajj pilgrimage season in order to alleviate the onus from individual persons and the health system.

The Ministry has always been keen on distributing guidance posters to all HCs to increase the awareness of Hajj pilgrims of coronavirus.

The Minister of Health emphasized the Ministry's keenness on keeping abreast of latest regional and international developments with the relevant bodies in order to implement them and that lab testing continues beyond the Hajj season in order to ensure comprehensive coverage and to prevent the disease from spreading - in case of its occurrence.
