Reimbursements (2-3)

Reimbursements, is the amount of cash granted to the employee in accordance with the employment benefits Regulations that was issued by the Prime minister edict No. (77) for the year 2013 to compensate him for facing the requirements, conditions and the special nature of work related to the job he occupied, the requirement and working condition does not require paying the amount during the leave with pay, the reimbursements are used to face the special requirements, and it is considered to be complementary to the salary, and it is granted to the employee when justifications given , and granted upon the approval of CSB.



There are types of reimbursements, Driving Re-imbursement, shall be paid monthly to employee at the rate of BD. (30) in consideration of entrusting employee - in addition to basic functions of his Position - to drive vehicles provided by government entities to transport employees within employees work group pursuant to work requirements in the entity where employee works when regular employees are not available to discharge such functions.
Driving Re-imbursement shall be paid to employees in grades below grade seven on General Pay Scale , provided that driving functions shall not be related to employee's basic Position's functions. And such Re-imbursement shall not be paid to more than (2) employees in the work group herein referred to.

On-call Re-imbursement, shall be paid to employees in consideration of calling them to work after official working hours according to a predefined schedule for that purpose to perform emergency work in the organizational unit where employees work when postponement or delay of performing such work may result in heavy losses and damages to the Kingdom of Bahrain's public interest, or disruption of indispensable service, when regular employees are not available to discharge such functions.

On-call Re-imbursement at the rate of BD. (70) shall be paid monthly to employees at grade ten in the General Pay Scale and to employees from grade three to grade six in the professional Pay Scale. Such Re-imbursement shall be paid at the rate of BD. (35) to employees from grades five to nine in the General Pay Scale.

Nature of Work Re-imbursement, shall be paid to employees according to conditions like, Regular and repeated exposure of employees to undesirable and inconvenient circumstances affecting employees psychologically and physically during discharge of Position's basic functions, Undesirable and inconvenient work's circumstances have not be taken into account when the Position has been classified, it is not possible to avoid the undesirable and inconvenient work's circumstances employees are exposed thereto and also it is not possible to provide suitable and healthy work's environment through adopting safety and occupational health measures, Such Re-imbursement's rates shall be relative to the degree and percentage of employee's exposure to undesirable and inconvenient and work's circumstances in the following manner :
• Employees in first to fourth grade of General Pay Scale shall be entitled to BD. (30) for the first category of Positions occupied by employees exposed regularly and repeatedly to undesirable and inconvenient work's circumstances at the rate of (%50) or more of official working hours. And BD. (20) shall be paid to the second category of Positions which includes Positions occupied by employees exposed regularly and repeatedly to undesirable and inconvenient work's circumstances at the rate of less than (%50) of official working hours.
• Employees in the fifth to eighth grade and those in the ninth grade of the General Pay Scale who occupy Positions at the eighth grade in the general Pay Scale shall be entitled to BD. (40) for the first category and BD. (30) for the second category referred to in the above-mentioned paragraph of this Article>
