Kuwaiti Embassy hosts graduation ceremony

Manama, May 19 (BNA): The Kuwaiti Embassy held here yesterday a graduation ceremony for Kuwaiti students who graduated from Bahraini universities last year and this year, in the presence of Education Minister and Chairman of the High Education Council, Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Nuaimi, Kuwaiti Minister of Education and High Education, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullatif Al-Fares, and Dean of Diplomatic Corps and Kuwaiti Ambassador to Bahrain, Shaikh Azzam bin Mubarak Al-Sabah.

Dr. Al-Nuaimi, in a statement, congratulated the graduates and their parents, affirming Bahrain’s pride in hosting students from the sisterly State of Kuwait, which, he said, embodies the depth of the long-standing fraternal relations between the two countries, strengthened by their leaderships.

The minister highlighted the High Education Council’s interest in developing the educational services provided for students from Bahrain and other brotherly and friendly countries, citing the currently-implemented projects, including the Institutional Accreditation Project which is implemented in cooperation with the British Accreditation Council to assess the academic programmes in all al local high education institutions.

Kuwait’s Minister of Education and High Education, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullatif Al-Fares, conveyed congratulations to the graduates and their parents, lauding the facilities provided by the Kingdom of Bahrain to students enrolled in its universities.

He asserted that the increasing number of foreign students joining Bahraini universities reflects the prestigious reputation of the Kingdom’s high education.

Then, Head of the Cultural Office at the Kuwaiti Embassy, Dr. Abdulla Al-Kandari, said, in a statement, that Bahraini official sides’ cooperation with the Office has contributed to providing a perfect educational atmosphere for Kuwaiti students in Bahrain.

The ceremony also featured a film on the students’ academic career, exchange of souvenir gifts and shields between Bahraini and Kuwaiti officials, the honouring of the heads of Bahraini high education institutions and 109 graduate students.
