Crown Prince's call to promote moderation lauded

Manama, June 19 (BNA): Bahrain Foundation for Dialogue (BFD) hailed in a statement today the assertion of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, of the need to promote moderation to deter extremism and its grave repercussions which contravene Islam’s teachings and lead to sedition and regress.
The foundation stressed the inherent approach adopted by the Bahraini people since the antiquity which is based on moderation, building and pluralism. Those features, it affirmed, have always characterised the Bahraini society and represented a bulwark to its unity and cohesion. It added that pluralism in an inherent part of the Bahraini community which have always set a unique and remarkable example of fraternity and co-existence despite different doctrines and religions.

The foundation called to preserve this creative spirit, being part of the identity and a cornerstone for development. It also underlined unflinching keenness to boost those values and promote them especially among the youth through various programmes and projects.

BFD Board of Trustees Chairman Suhail bin Ghazi Al Kusaibi hailed the visits of HRH the Crown Prince to Ramadan Majlises all over Bahrain, describing that as a reflection of the fraternal spirit and the authenticity of the Bahraini people and identity that derives strength from Islamic ethics.
