Chairing the Cabinet meeting today, HM the King directed the competent authorities to take the necessary procedures to prevent the misuse of the openness to undermine the kingdom's security and stability and gave directives to tighten entry and residence procedures to address the current security challenges, including the imposition of visas in order to preserve the security and safety of the kingdom.

HM King Hamad directed to impose visas on visitors from Qatar, from which the Kingdom of Bahrain has been one of the most affected by its policies that are clear to everyone.
HM the king stressed that that the tight security procedures will not be applied to visitors from other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
He asserted that deterring terrorism and defeating it is a priority and that Bahrain will remain an oasis of security and stability and will confront decisively every cowardly action aimed at targeting its security and stability.
