New private school fee regulations outlined
Manama, Jan. 17 (BNA): Fourteen private schools are rated as high-performing, out of 73 privately-owned educational establishments. Under new performance-based criteria, only schools rated "Good" or "Excellent" will be authorised to increase students’ fees by five per cent, pending board of directors’ approval. In case the increase in school fees exceeds the nominal 5pc benchmark, the approval of the school board and parent’s council would be required for the hike to be endorsed.

Buri damaged houses renovation plan on good track
Manama, Jan. 17 (BNA): In implementation of directives from His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa to renovate the houses damaged due to the terrorist attack targeted a pipeline near Buri village, Minister of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning, Issam Abdullah Khalaf, said renovation works have been completed in six houses, two months after the work began.
