HM King Hamad Ratifies Customs Agreements
Manama, May 10. (BNA) – His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today issued Royal Decree 40 for this year, ratifying the Customs Mutual Assistance Agreement between the Customs agencies of the U.S. and Bahrain signed in Washington on November 5, 2010.

Two hundreds and ninety three workers dismissed in BAPCO
Manama, May 10 (BNA) -- Energy Minister Dr. Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza announced today that Bahrain Petroleum Company (BAPCO) discharged it’s Head of Workers Union and 11 other members of the board of directors, that were transferred to prosecution to receive criminal punishment. Two hundred and ninety three employees were also dismissed, and fifty others are currently in custody. Seventeen other employees received final warnings, while four others received written warnings.

Interior Minister Receives New Indian Ambassador
Manama, May 10. (BNA) - Interior Minister Lt. General Shaikha Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa received here today, in the presence of the Public Security Chief Major Tariq Mubarak bin Daina, the newly-appointed Indian Ambassador to Bahrain Mohan Kumar. Shaikh Rashid welcomed the new Ambassador, wishing him every success in his new duties.

HRH Premier Receives Cable of Condolences from Hareth Al Dhari
Manama, May 10. (BNA) - His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa today received a cable of condolences from the President of the Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq following Shaikh Hareth Suleiman Al Dhari the death of Her Highness Shaikha Moaza bint Hamad Al Khalifa. In the cable, he offered his heartfelt condolences and consolation to HRH Premier, praying Allah Almighty to rest the Late Shaikha Moaza’s soul in eternal peace.

Bahraini Doctor reveals the truth of a fabricated report by a well-known lawyer
Manama, May. 10 (BNA) -- A Bahraini doctor revealed the falsification of facts about the security man martyr during the recent unrest which was reported by a well-known lawyer who betrayed the country that enabled his success. In the "Open Dialogue with Saeed Al Ahmad" show which is viewed every Monday evening on Bahrain TV, the doctor declared that the security man had departed before arriving to the hospital in result of a head injury, noting that those requested to transfer his body to the mortuary department refused and transferred him to the emergency room instead where reporters sprung with photo shots and filming, ignoring all hospital’s legal coroners procedures.

Today's GCC Consultative Summit will add another accomplishment : says Shaikh Fawaz
Riyadh, May 10 (BNA) – President of Information Affairs Authority (IAA) Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa affirmed that today’s GCC Consultative Summit due to be held in Riyadh will add another accomplishment to the GCC progress and improve the work mechanism to achieve the aspiration of GCC people mainly with the need of establishing GCC confederation. Shaikh Fawaz added that the Summit is a perfect opportunity to discuss developments in the region and to work harder for further GCC accomplishments , asserting that the summit is being held in a critical situation including the political, economic and development spheres. In an interview with Saudi daily ‘’ Al Jazeera’’ in its edition today, Shaikh Fawaz added that Bahrain is stable and back to normal including the commercial, social and tourism fields and which was assured by Royal Decree No. 39 for the year 2011 by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to end the State of National Safety effective from 1st of June 2011.
