Renewed Electric Network Cables at Fukushima Station
Tokyo, April 26 (BNA) -- Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) began to renew electric network cables in Fukushima nuclear station, in order to ensure the provision of electricity supply in the event of another powerful earthquake. A verdict by TEPCO following the breakdown of all emergency generators due to the devastating tsunami that hit the station on March 11, resulting in temperature fluctuations and electric blackouts.

5 dead after storms in Arkansas; state of emergency declared
Washington, April 26 (BNA) -- At least five people are dead and 14 homes destroyed after a rash of severe weather that tore through Arkansas on Monday. The weather also spawned a tornado that struck an Air Force base, military officials said, and prompted the Arkansas governor to declare a state of emergency, CNN reported. At least two people died in the severe thunderstorms in Faulkner County, county spokesman Stephan Hawks said early Tuesday morning. He said 14 to 16 homes had been destroyed in the town of Vilonia.

Wikileaks: Many held at Guantanamo not a threat
Washington, April. 25 (BNA) -- Files released by the whistle-blowing website Wikileaks have revealed that the United States believed many of those held at Guantanamo Bay were innocent or only low-level operatives. The files, published in American and European newspapers, reveal analysis of all 780 people ever held at the facility, the BBC reports. The assessments show 220 people were classified as dangerous terrorists. However, about 150 from Afghanistan and Pakistan were deemed innocent - with many detained for no apparent reason - while another 380 people were deemed to be low-ranking foot soldiers.

Seoul Deploys Multiple Rocket Launcher to Western Islands
Seoul, April. 25 (BNA) -- The South Korean military has reportedly deployed a Multiple Launch Rocket System, or MLRS, on islands near the western sea border with North Korea. According to South Korean News Agency Yonhap, the Chosun Ilbo, citing an unnamed government source in Seoul. The source says. that the military has deployed its Ku-ryong MLRS, to Baengnyeong and Yeonpyeong islands in order to respond accordingly to any possible provocation by the North. The warhead is made up of 36 launcher tubes and can hit targets over 35 kilometers away. This is the first time that the South Korean military has stationed the multiple rocket launcher on a year-round basis.

Man hijacks plane in Paris
Paris, April. 25 (BNA) -- A man armed with a knife has tried to hijack a flight from Paris to Rome. The Kazakhstani was quickly overpowered on the Alitalia plane, and arrested as the plane landed. Witnesses say he put a small knife to the throat of an air stewardess, who was slightly injured. Alitalia say the man asked that the plane be taken to Tripoli in Libya.

Removal of tsunami-wrecked fishing boats starts in Kesennuma
Tokyo, April 24 (BNA) -- A salvage agency started full-fledged operations Sunday to remove fishing boats sunk, stranded or dumped inland by the March 11 earthquake-triggered tsunami in Kesennuma, Miyagi Prefecture. More than 40 ships of 20 tons or more fell victim when the disaster hit the coastal city, according to the local chamber of commerce.

Dinosaurs like the devil has been found
New Mexico, April 24 (BNA) -- A new dinosaur named "Evil Spirit Buck-Toothed Reptile" bad-toothed reptile demon spirit or the scientific name Daemonosaurus chauliodus found in New Mexico. The devil is a link between dinosaurs and the oldest dinosaurs with Jurassic species of theropod dinosaurs. Dinosaurs that lived 205 million years ago were as high as a large dog with an unusual bone. So obviously Hans-Dieter Sues, vertebrate ancient experts at the National Museum of Natural History in Washington DC "Short snout and large front teeth," he said. He also added, "This type of bone structure is not thought at that time for the predatory dinosaurs."

Six killed, 16 hurt in road mishap near Thatta
Islamabad, April 23 (BNA) -- At least six people were killed and 16 others received injuries in a road accident near Thatta here on Saturday morning, a private television channel reported. The report said that the accident took place when a passenger van hit a roadside parked truck, killing six passengers and injuring sixteen others.
