GCC Monetary council launches a competition for its logo
Riyadh, March 9 (BNA) -- The Gulf Monetary Council has announced the launch of a competition in order to design a logo for the monetary council. The council said in a press release distributed today that the winner of the design will receive a certificate of appreciation from the Gulf Monetary Council in addition to a financial reward of 100 thousand Saudi Riyals.

Bahrain Bourse Daily Trading Performance
Manama, March 8. (BNA) -- Bahrain All Share Index has closed at 1,393.15 points marking a decrease of 3.92 points below the previous closing. This decrease was due to the fall in the Services Sector. Results indicated that 102 transactions took place with a volume of 1,583,520 shares worth BD 188,093. Investors traded mainly in the Commercial Banks Sector which represented 36% of the total value of shares traded.

CBB Treasury Bills oversubscribed
Manama,March 7 (BNA) -- The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) announces that this week’s BD25 million issues of Government Treasury Bills has been oversubscribed by 282%. The bills, carrying a maturity of 91 days, are issued by the CBB, on behalf of the Kingdom of Bahrain. The issue date of the bills is 9 March 2011 and the maturity date is 8 June 2011.

Manama, March. 6 (BNA) -- Bahrain all share index has closed 1,395,72 points marking an increase of 18.36 points above the previous closing. This increase was due to the raise in the Commercial banks sector. Results indicated that 61 transactions took place with a volume of 1,386,076 worth BD 218,351. Investors traded mainly in the Commercial banks sector represented 94 percent of the total value of shares traded.

BIC registeres 13 new companies
Manama, March 6 (BNA) -- Bahrain Investors Centre (BIC) registered 13 new companies to 930.1 million dinars last week, most notably is the GlobeMed Bahrain company which works in supporting insurance services. The Centre has also registered three companies operating in buying and selling securities divided between limited liability companies and single person company. The largest share was for the limited liability companies by 8 companies and 5 companies of the type of single person company.

Bahrain Cosolidates its Economic Stability/Report
London, March 2. (BNA) -- According to the Economic Freedom Index Report, Bahrain’s economic freedom score is 77.7, making its economy the 10th freest in the 2011 Index. Its overall score is 1.4 points better than last year, with improvements in investment freedom and labor freedom. Bahrain is ranked 1st out of 17 countries in the Middle East/North Africa region, and its economic freedom score is well above the world average.

Alba's Board of Directors Praises encouraging financial results for the year 2010
