Gaza police surround suspects in Italian activist's murder
Gaza, April 20 (BNA) -- Security forces have surrounded a home in central Gaza where men suspected of killing an Italian activist are believed to be hiding, witnesses said. Special forces closed in on a house belonging to the Abu Ghulah family near Wadi Gaza and evacuated homes in the area, onlookers said. The owner of the home, Amer Abu Ghulah, surrendered to police. Security officials were urging suspects inside to give themselves up and snipers were positioned on the roofs of neighboring homes, witnesses said.

Gaza crossings closed for Passover; exports halt
Gaza, April 18 (BNA) -- Only days after crossings re-opened following a week-long Israeli decision to halt imports into the Gaza Strip, all crossing terminals were again closed on Monday, as Jewish citizens of Israel mark Passover. Crossings official in Gaza Raed Fattouh said he was informed Sunday evening that import terminals would be closed Monday and Tuesday, but were expected to re-open on Wednesday.

Car Bombs Kill Nine in Baghdad
Baghdad, April 18 (BNA) - At least nine people were killed and 23 others were injured after two car bombs exploded in the Iraqi capital of Baghdad Monday. The attacks took place near a security checkpoint at the entrance of the heavily-fortified Green Zone, security sources said. Many foreign embassies and Iraqi government offices are located in the city''s strategic area. Several cars also caught fire due to the twin car bombs.

Military closure for West Bank on Passover
Gaza, April. 18 (BNA) -- Israel's military announced a "general closure" of the West Bank during the Jewish Passover holiday. According to Palestinian newspaper Ma'an, the closure will affect Palestinians with work permits, barring them from access to Israel and Jerusalem until 26 April.
