Algerian Premier orders inquiry into concert victims

 Algiers, Aug.23 (BNA): Algerian Prime Minister Prime Minister Noureddine Bedoui ordered an inquiry into the victims of the stampede which happened last night in Algiers.


Five young Algerian citizens, aged 20 to 25 were killed and dozens more injured in a stampede at a packed rap concert in the Algerian capital, rescue services said on Friday.


Civil Defence servicemen provided first aid to 86 people and transferred 32 others to the hospital for treatment.


The stampede took place on Thursday night as fans thronged an entrance of the August-20 Stadium where rapper Soolking was to perform.
