Manama, Nov.12 (BNA): HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee witnessed the second day of the 2019 BRAVE International Combat Week which is being held in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Organised by Bahrain Mixed Martial Arts Federation (BMMAF) in collaboration with BRAVE Organisation and IMMAF-WMMAA, the event is taking place on November 10-16, 2019, at Khalifa Sports City's arena and will feature the 6th edition of the Amateur World Championship and BRAVE 31 as well as KHK Open Championship.
"Bahrain has strong players who have international experience and capable of achieving strong results. We hope Bahrain will earn a good share of the world championships despite the fact of the great challenges awaiting our champions. But we have full confidence in them.", said HH Shaikh Khalid, urging fans to come and enjoy the fights of the 2019 BRAVE International Combat Week.
BOC Secretary-General Mohammed Hassan Al Nisf described the 2019 BRAVE International Combat Week as an extraordinary event, stating that it's one of the most important sports event hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain. He further added that Bahrain Olympic Committee didn't spare any effort to make this exceptional event a tremendous success.
Bahraini fighters have succeeded in bagging further victories with Ali Yaqoub defeating Jamlet Aslanouf of Uzbekistan, while Majumeed Shaikhov secured a deserved win versus Sharafi Adel of France. Other Bahraini fighters who have won on the second day include Zajed who defeated Davon Dickson of the USA and Murad Josenov who won against Farhat of Kazakhistan. Their country fellow Shamel Ali emerged victorious against Zajrahan Ibrahim of Russia and compatriot Murad Ibrahimov triumphed over Jer Haris of Ireland.
