BJA marks national days

Manama,  Dec. 14 (BNA): The Bahrain Journalists Association (BJA) celebrated the Bahraini Women’s Day and the Kingdom of Bahrain's national celebrations on 16 and 17 December, in commemoration of the establishment of the modern Bahraini state as an Arab and Muslim country founded by Ahmed Al-Fateh in 1783, the 48th anniversary of its full membership in the United Nations, and the 20th anniversary of His Majesty the King’s Accession to the Throne.


BJA President Ahdeya Ahmed Al-Sayyid congratulated Bahraini women on the occasion and wished them further strides and achievements in all fields, hailing the royal support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa.


She paid tribute to Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al-Khalifa, Wife of HM the King and Supreme Council for Women (SCW) President.


She hailed Bahrain’s political, economic, social sports and cultural achievements in 2019, citing the historic achievements of the national team, which won the 24th Gulf Cup.  She expressed the hope that the New Year 2020 would yield further successes and victories for the Kingdom of Bahrain.
