Abu Dhabi, Jan. 26 (BNA): Bahrain falconers made outstanding achievements during the opening rounds of the UAE President’s Falconry Cup, which are devoted to GCC nationals.
Falconer Mohammed Abdulwahab Al-Hajeri clinched the first place through falcon "Toofan" which succeeded in covering the race distance in 16.669 seconds at a speed of more than 86 kilometres per hour.
Following this victory, Toofan, owned by falconer Mohammed Al-Hajeri, has won GCC championships in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
Bahrain’s BHR team also won the third place through falcon "Hashoor" which completed the same race in 17.777 seconds.
Falconer Badr Abdulwahab Al-Hajeri also clinched the second place in the UAE President’s Falconry Cup following the success of falcon Jalmud S84 in completing the race in 17.982 seconds.
