DANAT successfully concludes participation in "Expo Dubai"

Dubai, Dec. 7 (BNA): The Bahrain Pearl & Gemstone Institute "DANAT" concluded its participation in the Kingdom of Bahrain's pavilion at the "Expo Dubai 2020" Successfully. It fulfilled its objectives during a roughly two-and-a-half-month period by introducing Expo visitors to its services in the field of pearl testing through the DANAT laboratory, which is regarded as the best of its kind in the world.


Several VIPs from Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, and other countries came to visit the DANAT pavilion at the Expo. 


Its laboratory gave visitors a one-of-a-kind experience by showing them how to tell the difference between genuine pearls and artificial and cultured pearls.


As part of Bahrain's National Week at "Expo 2020," which included several business and cultural activities to raise awareness about Bahrain's rich culture and conducive business environment, the DANAT pavilion hosted an exhibition in which major Bahraini pearl traders, including Matar, Al Fardan, and Al Mahmoud, displayed pieces of pearls and jewellery.


Mr. Yaser Alsharif, Chairman of DANAT, said in a statement issued on the occasion that the Kingdom of Bahrain was able to demonstrate its significant and high-quality presence at the Expo, noting the work of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities in this regard.


“At DANAT, we succeeded in being an important part of the Bahrain pavilion’s message in this exhibition, highlighting its civilizational elements and a pioneering reputation that it has been able to consolidate over thousands of years, and highlighting Bahraini famous pearls” According to Alsharif.


Mrs. Noora Jamsheer, the CEO of DANAT, stated that the DANAT laboratory is one of Bahrain's most important modern technologies in the field of pearl and gemstone examination, which is in line with the concept of Expo exhibitions, which are concerned with modern sciences and inventions and what the future will be like. 


She praised the Institute's team's efforts throughout the Expo's two months, and expressed her delight with the positive outcome of DANAT’s participation in the Bahrain Pavilion, which embodied the pavilion's theme "Intensity Weaves Opportunities."
