Manama, Feb. 5 (BNA): Following the recommendations issued by the National Medical Taskforce for Combatting the Coronavirus (COVID-19), requesting government entities and institutions to allow a maximum of 70% of employees to work from home from February 7 to 20, the Ministry of Education instructed schools and directorates to follow certain measures.

The Ministry said that only 30% of the staff of schools and directorates should attend in person during the week starting on February 7, and that the same mechanism will be applied during the week starting on February 14, with another 30% attending.

They were also requested to prepare a list of the employees who will work on-line, and those who will work in-person, as well as determine the duties of each group.

The Ministry’s circular also stressed that the plans approved in the previous period should go ahead as planned in order to achieve the students’ interests and deliver the necessary services to visitors.

School principals and the Ministry's directorates may name the employees whose personal presence is of utmost importance to the smooth flow of work so as to attend and carry out the required duties.

The Education Ministry stressed the need to continue adhering to the precautionary health measures, including social distancing, wearing face masks, as well as washing and sanitising hands regularly.
