Food is Culture performances to start on Sunday

Manama, Jan. 25 (BNA): The fifth edition of “Food is Culture”, a creative project that bridges together the mediums of art and food, will be launched on Sunday, Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) has said.


The collaboration will bring one chef and one artist every day until January 30 at 7 pm at Bahrain National Museum.


The five pairs of chefs and artists will present their creative work in the culinary, visual arts and music fields and will share their experiences and impressions with the audience.

On Sunday, Chef Hessa Hammoud Al Khalifa will pair with virtual reality artist Neela Rashid Al Khalifa.


On Monday Chef Lulwah Sweileh and photographer Ishaq Madan will thrill the audience and on Tuesday, Chef Dana Abdel Rahman and jewelery designer Aisha Abdel Malek will take the stage.


Chef Bassam Al Alawi and artist Maryam Al Nuaimi will perform on Wednesday and Chef Mariam Shakeeb and Chef Fouad Janahi will team up with the Oracle Project on Thursday on the final day.
