Manama, Mar. 26 (BNA): Representative of HM the King for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, National Security Advisor and Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Chairman, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, has given directives to the Bahrain Inherited Sports Committee to distribute the prizes of the Mawrooth Challenge to all the finalists.
The Inherited Sports Committee had cancelled the finals of the Mawrooth Challenge, in line with the decisions made by the competent authorities to prevent gatherings to curb the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19).
The committee will distribute the prizes of the competitions to all the 60 finalists evenly, in line with HH Shaikh Nasser’s directives.
The Mawrooth Challenge is one of the initiatives launched by the First Deputy Chairman of Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and the Bahrain Olympic Committee President, HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, to revive old agricultural and sea professions in Bahrain.
