Manama, Sept. 25 (BNA): Deputy Prime Minister and Infrastructure Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa patronized a ceremony organized by Dar Al Bilad for Journalism, Publishing and Distribution Company to announce the winning company of the Al Bilad Award for Corporate Social Responsibility 2022.
The Award Supreme Committee monitored 75 companies that practice social responsibility in a regular manner, including 26 companies with international standards.
The deputy prime minister presented the award to the Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC).
Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal, Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, ministers, elite officials, ambassadors, representatives of the legislative branch and business sector and civil society organizations were present.
The deputy prime minister said Bahrain is proud of its successful leadership in achieving the Millennium Development Goals, and of the steps it has taken to keep pace with the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals under the leadership of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the follow up of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister
He stressed the government's keenness to tie up its actions with the sustainable development goals, ensure the continuation of development and support all international efforts and initiatives that serve it.
The deputy prime minister expressed his appreciation to Al Bilad newspaper for its initiative that reflects the prominent social role of the private sector in supporting development efforts in the Kingdom, and contributing to boosting awareness of corporate social responsibility.
