HM King offers condolences on demise of HM Sultan Qaboos

Muscat, Jan. 12 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has offered his heartfelt condolences to the Sultan of Oman, HM Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, on the demise of HM Sultan Qaboos bin Said.


HM King Hamad extended his condolences to the senior members of the Ruling Family at the Alam Palace in the Omani capital Muscat, praying to Allah to grant the soul of the late sultan eternal peace and the Ruling Family fortitude and solace.


HM the King praised the late Sultan's qualities, role and efforts in building the modern Sultanate of Oman and its development in all fields and serving his people and the Arab and Islamic nation.


HM King Hamad lauded Sultan Qaboos' contributions, along with their majesties and highnesses, in establishing the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and consolidating its foundations.


He prayed Allah to assist HM Sultan Haitham in continuing the progress and development of Oman.


Sultan Haitham expressed his thanks and appreciation to HM the King for his noble and compassionate sentiments that reflected the depth of the strong bonds between Oman and Bahrain and their people. He wished HM the King good health and wellbeing.


HM King Hamad returned to Bahrain later in the day.
