HM King receives Pakistani Foreign Minister

Manama, July 29 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa underscored today the depth of historical relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Pakistan which are based on mutual understanding, confidence, respect and cooperation.


HM the King was speaking as he received at Safriyah Palace today Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi who is on a visit to the kingdom to participate in the Bahrain-Pakistan Joint Committee meeting.


HM the King welcomed the Pakistani Foreign Minister who conveyed to him the greetings and appreciation of Pakistani President Dr. Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Khan as well as their best wishes of further growth and prosperity to the Bahraini people. HM the King asked the Pakistani Foreign Minister to convey his greetings to the Pakistani President and Prime Minister and his best wishes to the Pakistani people of constant growth and development.


HM the King praised the outcome of the Bahrain-Pakistan Joint Committee meeting which will further enhance bilateral cooperation in various fields. He also lauded the advanced level of bilateral relations and common keenness to further consolidate them.


HM the King commended the role of the Pakistani community and its remarkable contribution to the kingdom’s development.


Discussions also focused on regional and international developments of mutual concern.


The Pakistani Foreign Minister expressed utmost thanks and appreciation to HM the King for the gracious welcome, commending HM’s key role  and unwavering support to cementing friendly relations between both countries.
