'UN celebration of International Day of Conscience reflects world's appreciation of HRH Premier's vision, approach'

Manama, Apr. 6 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa’s initiative to declare April 5 as an International Day of Conscience, observed worldwide yesterday, laid the foundation for a new era in the history of humanity.


The milestone initiative aims to motivate the world to exert more efforts to safeguard global peace and establish a new world order based on love, understanding and harmony.


Through HRH Premier’s initiative, Bahrain has set the example in mobilizing the International Community’s efforts towards what will achieve the best for humanity, as well as protect it from conflicts and wars.


Such a Bahraini initiative has been backed and welcomed worldwide, especially amid the current circumstances during which the world is facing as a result of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and its dangerous impacts on the present and future of countries.


In his message to the world on the eve of the International Day of Conscience, HRH Premier stressed the importance of the value of conscience as a human pivot that alerts the world to the necessity of shouldering its collective responsibilities towards everything that could bring human beings closer and fulfill the aspirations of the peoples for growth and stability.


HRH Premier’s initiative has been described as a message to enhance global security and stability so that peoples become able to carry on their development march within peace and love.


Bahraini functions agreed that the UN’s celebration of the International Day of Conscience confirms the wide appreciation of HRH Premier’s visions and approach in consolidating the efforts of the International Community to focus on everything that would achieve global peace.


Chairperson of the National Institution for Human Rights, Maria Khoury, Journalist and media figure, Sawsan Al-Shaer, Head of the National Unity Gathering, Shaikh Abdullatif Al-Mahmoud, MP Mohammed Al-Sisi, MP Abdullah Al-Thawadi, MP Ibrahim Al-Nafei, MP Sawsan Kamal, and Lawyer Deena Abdulrahman Al-Lathi, affirmed that the sublime values embedded in HRH Premier’s message to the world embody the message of Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, which is based on humanitarian foundations and calls for peace, harmony and cooperation among nations and peoples.
