HM King's constant support for Bahraini press highlighted

Manama, Nov. 29 (BNA): Information Affairs Advisor to HRH Crown Prince's Court, Isa bin Abdulrahman Al-Hammadi, has affirmed the importance of the role played by the Bahraini press within the national media system, in supporting the comprehensive development process, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

 

Al-Hammadi asserted that HM the King's support for Bahraini journalism has enabled it to play a greater role in carrying out its noble mission to the fullest.

 

In this regard, he affirmed the constant interest of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in consolidating the role of the press and media, as parts of Team Bahrain, which continues its endeavours to build the nation and achieve the best for the citizens.

 

The Information Affairs Advisor to HRH Crown Prince's Court made the statements while receiving here today the President of the Bahrain Journalists' Association (BJA), Editor-in-Chief of the Al-Ayyam newspaper, Isa A-Shaiji, BJA's Deputy President, Abdulrahman Al-Medfaa, and BJA's Secretary-General and International Relations Director, Rashid Al-Hamar.

 

During the meeting, Al-Hammadi commended BJA's and interest in enhancing the role of national press and its responsible free word in order to achieve the national goals.

 

Al-Shaiji lauded the ongoing support of HM the King and HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to the Bahraini press, which contributed to strengthening its role in supporting various development and modernisation paths.

 

BJA President thanked the Information Affairs Advisor to HRH Crown Prince's Court for his constant cooperation, stressing BJA's keenness to carry on its efforts to develop journalism in the kingdom.
