HRH Premier stresses depth of Bahrain-US relations

Manama, May 12 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa received, at the Gudaibiya Palace today, the Commander of the United States Naval Forces Central Command and the US Fifth Fleet, Vice Admiral James J. Malloy, in the presence of the US Ambassador to Bahrain, Justin Siberell.


They discussed the long-standing bilateral relations of friendship and cooperation, as well as ways to bolster them in various fields.


HRH the Prime Minister stressed the depth of the solid strategic Bahrain-US relations which, he said, are based on the two friendly countries’ shared desire to achieve their common aspirations.


HRH Premier lauded the role played by the United States in supporting efforts to strengthen the pillars of security and stability across the region and the world, wishing Vice Admiral James J. Malloy further success in serving the interests of the two friendly countries.


The meeting also focused on the latest regional and global developments, in addition to ways to strengthen the existing partnership between the two countries in various fields.


HRH Premier stressed the importance of enhancing joint efforts and action through international alliances to face various challenges aimed at subverting security and stability.


Vice Admiral James J. Malloy expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to HRH the Prime Minister for his interest in everything aimed at developing relations between the two friendly countries.


He commended Bahrain’s efforts to consolidate security and stability, and combat terrorism, affirming his county’s keenness to enhance relations with the kingdom in various fields.
