High Education Council announces visit to United Kingdom

Manama,  Jan. 17(BNA): The Higher Education Council (HEC) will organise a key field visit to research and academic institutions and universities in the United Kingdom.


The HEC General Secretariat is organizing the weeklong trip, which starts on Sunday and runs until the 26th of January, in cooperation with the UK Scientific and Innovation Network, the British Council and the British Embassy.


“The visit is part of plans to achieve the objectives of the national scientific research strategy 20142024”, said HEC scientific research director Dr. Farzana Abdulla Al-Maraghi, stressing keenness on strengthening ties with  global instititions that focus on economic and social priorities in Bahrain.


She stressed the importance of the initiative which aims at enhanced scientific research competences and capabilities in Bahrain and strengthen cooperation between higher educations establishments in Bahrain and international institutions.


The delegation includes officials representing the University of Bahrain, the Arabia Gulf University, Bahrain Polytechnic, Bahrain Training Institute, Applied Sciences University, Gulf University, the Kingdom’s University, the Arab Open University – Bahrain branch, AMA International University, The Royal University for Women, the University College of Bahrain and other HEC officials in charge scientific research.
