Information Ministry holds virtual training session on mobile journalism

Manama, Sep. 1 (BNA): The Training Unit at the Information Affairs Ministry has organised a virtual training session on “Documenting Achievements through Smart Phones’ Cameras- Mobile Journalism”.

 

The two-day session, presented by social media trainer, Mohannad Al-Nuaimi, is within the unit’s plans to develop the media content of the social media platforms.

 

The course, in which more than 147 trainees representing many public and private entities, as well as school and university students participated, focused on several cognitive and applied skills in the field of mobile journalism, and ways to optimise the use of smart devices to produce professional content that reaches all segments of society according to the simplest available technologies by following the best professional standards and tools.

 

It also tackled the main applications that contribute to developing content, the types of content required for each platform, ways to post effective content on the platforms.

 

It also focused on the applications that contribute to raising the individual's media skills through photography, text writing and voiceover, in addition to the most frequent mistakes that fall within the field of mobile use while documenting events and achievements.

 

The participants expressed their delight at taking part in the session, whose rich content has triggered their interaction, and provided an opportunity for them to exchange experiences and best practices in the mobile journalism field.
