King, Saudi Crown Prince hold talks

Manama, Nov. 25 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, today held talks on the solid, longstanding and fraternal relations.

The meeting, attended by HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister also covered cooperation and coordination on various topics.


HM the King stressed that the robust and growing relations between the two kingdoms are based on strong foundations of fruitful cooperation and brotherly ties supported by the consensus between them and their common will to move ties to a broader perspective at various levels


HM the King highlighted that Bahrain’s solidarity with Saudi Arabia has always been a constant choice that stems from the full faith in their common destiny and the belief that this brotherly cohesion is the path to the security and stability of the two countries, the prosperity and prosperity of their peoples, the enhancement of their development gains and the improvement of their ability to face various challenges.


HM the King reiterated Bahrain's categorical rejection of targeting Saudi Arabia, affirming that Saudi Arabia is a state of security, safety, justice and rights that are safeguarded.

Saudi Arabia will always remain strong and able to deter all attempts to undermine its security and stability and the systematic campaigns to interfere in its internal affairs through staged campaigns, malicious allegations and false claims, he added.

HM the King added that Saudi Arabia would continue its leading global role to maintain regional and international peace and security under the wise leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH the Crown Prince, and thanks to its potentials that make it a cornerstone for the security and stability of the region and the world at large.


HM the king expressed appreciation of the fraternal Saudi stances towards Bahrain and its great and regular support, which accentuates the historical fraternal relations between the two kingdoms. He also paid tribute to the Saudi keenness to underpin Bahrain’s security, stability, development and prosperity. 


HM the King commended the Saudi commitment to take on its regional and international strategic and humanitarian role and its keenness on promoting Gulf, Arab and Islamic joint action and contributing to the prosperity of humankind. He said that solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a duty for all as it is solidarity with rightness and a desire to preserve the unity and safety of Gulf countries and societies.


HM the King highly valued the Saudi noble and steady humanitarian role in Yemen, pointing out the Saudi and UAE “Supply” initiative to meet humanitarian needs and provide additional support to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people and help them to overcome the difficult living conditions. He stressed that such support will benefit all the brothers in Yemen and will contribute to increase relief and humanitarian programmes and improve the humanitarian situation in Yemen.


HM the King bestowed the Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa Medal of the Excellence Class on HRH Saudi Crown Prince in recognition of his efforts to boost the Bahraini-Saudi relations and cooperation.


HRH Saudi Crown Prince expressed profound gratitude to HM the King for conferring on him the medal, wishing Bahrain and its people further progress and prosperity under the wise royal leadership, and the Bahraini-Saudi relations further development.


HM the King hosted a dinner banquet in honour of HRH Saudi Crown Prince and the accompanying delegation.
