Magnitude 5.3 earthquake jolts Morocco

Rabat, Nov.18 (BNA): A moderate earthquake measuring 5.3 degrees on the Richter scale hit Morocco this morning.

 

The National Institute of Geophysics said that earthquake which was recorded this morning was located in the Moroccan province of Midlit, said Moroccan News Agency (MapNews).

 

The National Institute of Seismic Surveillance and Alert said in a warning bulletin that the tremor, which was located in the area of Al-Nazala in the province of Midlit   occurred at 09.39 and 7 seconds (GMT +1).

 

The tremor was recorded at a depth of 04 km at the convergence of latitude 32.570 degrees north and longitude 4.167 degrees west.
