Normal operations resume at Bahrain International Airport

Manama, Aug.13 (BNA): The Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) announced that it had resumed its normal operations at the Bahrain International Airport, following the closure of the runway due to an oil leak from a plane which arrived this evening in the Kingdom of Bahrain. 

 
The runway was closed this evening for around an hour, starting 04.27 pm in a precautionary measure for the safety of passengers. Five flights were diverted to Dammam Airport and another to Kuwait International Airport.
 
The Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) announced that it had taken all necessary and required measures in such cases to remove the leaked oil from the runway and ensure safe plane landing and takeoff.
