Readout of HRH the Crown Prince's meeting with the U.S Secretary of Defence

Manama, Oct. 27 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, today met with the U.S Secretary of Defence James N. Mattis, on the side-lines of the 2018 Manama Dialogue.

HRH the Crown Prince highlighted the long-standing ties between the two nations, underpinned by a joint and ever-growing commitment to further advance cooperation at all levels.

HRH the Crown Prince reiterated Bahrain’s commitment to working with international partners to further strengthen regional stability, noting that ongoing U.S-Bahrain defence cooperation plays an important role in combating the activities of terror groups across the world.

HRH the Crown Prince concluded by welcoming U.S participation in this year’s Manama Dialogue and thanked the U.S Secretary for his continued support in building on bilateral relations.

U.S. Central Command Commander, General Joseph Votel, and HH Sh Isa Bin Salman also attended the meeting.
