Manama, Aug. 11 (BNA): The royal support from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has made youth innovations, creativity and excellence a solid and genuine approach to achieving development and civilizational accomplishments, which contributed to building the nation, its progress and its bright future in light of the comprehensive development process, the Speaker has said.
On the International Youth Day, Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal praised the efforts of the government headed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and its supportive projects and programs for Bahraini youth.
She highlighted the support in the areas of food security and youth innovations, and in harnessing all possibilities for optimal investment in promising youth energies and competencies and motivating them to contribute actively to building the nation and its progress.
The International Youth Day is marked this year under the theme of "Transforming Food Systems: Youth Innovation for Human and Planetary Health".
The Speaker pointed to the prominent role of Bahraini youth workers and volunteers within Team Bahrain to confront the coronavirus and their patriotic and humanitarian role.
Bahraini youth are characterized by their patriotism, honesty, loyalty, strong sense of belonging to the country, persistence, perseverance, advanced levels of education and knowledge, engagement in all fields of work, political participation, community service, and their effective and responsible roles in multiple media platforms, she added.
The Speaker praised the remarkable efforts and continuous initiatives of HM the King's Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
The Speaker lauded the success of the Hope Fund in supporting youth projects and initiatives in order to fulfil the royal vision for the progress of Bahraini youth in various fields and providing appropriate means of support.
Zainal noted the role of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, in supporting Bahraini youth, and actively contributing to outstanding achievements locally and internationally.
The Speaker congratulated the Bahraini youth and associations, institutions and youth organizations on the International Youth Day.
She stressed the continuous parliamentary support for Bahraini youth, and the boosting of efforts to develop the youth legislation that contributes to enhancing their role and care about them, achieving their aspirations and hopes, and meeting their needs as the real assets of Bahrain and the optimal investment for the future.
