SCE Chief receives researcher

Manama,  Dec. 14 (BNA): Supreme Council for the Environment (SCE) Dr. Mohammed Mubarak bin Daina received Arabian Gulf University (AGU) Assistant Professor Dr. Soumaya Youssef, who presented a copy of her PhD dissertation from Warwick University, the UK, titled “Exploring opportunities and technical options for managing organic household waste: a pilot investigation in Muharraq Governorate - Kingdom of Bahrain”.


Dr. bin Daina hailed the researcher’s efforts and the academic output of the thesis which are in line with the national waste management strategy carried out by the Supreme Council for the Environment, the Ministry of Works and Municipal Affairs and Urban Planning and other relevant authorities.


He underlined the role of scientific of research institutions in the development of societies in all fields, especially those related to environmental issues, stressing the importance of focusing on ecological studies.
