Saudi Arabia to participate in Khartoum Agreement signing ceremony

Jeddah, Aug. 17 (BNA): An official source at the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced his country’s participation in the signing ceremony of the Khartoum Agreement scheduled to be held today within the framework of the support being provided by the Saudi Arabia to this agreement.

Saudi Press Agency (SPA) quoted the same source as saying that the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Cabinet's Member Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir will head the Kingdom's delegation to attend the signing ceremony of the Khartoum Agreement, accompanied by Minister of State for African Affairs Countries Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Qattan and Saudi Ambassador to the Republic of Sudan Ali bin Hussein Jaafar.

The source stressed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s belief that the Khartoum Agreement between Sudanese parties will contribute to writing a new phase of stability through which brothers in Sudan can recover from their current crisis and move to manage their affairs in a way that would meet the aspirations of the brothers there.
